What is Energy Action Plan and EnMS Responsibilities

The Energy Action Plan, refers the process of narrowing down form broad long term Energy goals (the policy) through objectives and targets (medium term strategic plan) to Energy Management System as per ISO 50001 standards in order to achieve the Energy performance spelt out by the Energy and achievement of energy performance indicators Policy of the organizations. Therefore, there are three components of Energy Action Plan.
Energy Objectives (Medium Term Strategic Plan):
Energy Objectives refers the broad goals arising form the Energy Policy and significant Energy aspects, that an organisation sets itself to achieve, and which is quantified wherever practicable
Energy Targets (Medium Term Strategic Plan):
Energy Targets refers the specific performance requirements, quantified wherever practicable, and applicable to the organisation or part thereof that arises form the Energy objectives and that needs to be set and met in order to achieve those objectives.
Energy Performance Management Indicators
Establish Energy performance indicators refers the specific performance and ISO 50001 requirements, significant energy use areas quantified wherever practicable, and applicable to the organisation or part thereof that arises from the Energy objectives to improve the energy baselines and that needs to be set and met in order to achieve those objectives.
Energy Action Plans (Short Term Actions):
Energy Management Action Programme (EnMAP) is a detailed and very specific action plan for achieving set Energy targets.
